We have so enjoyed the arrival of our spring and summer crop of cria and are now expanding some of our shelters so we can house them better this winter. Our alpacas have been very happy and bouncey as the weather has cooled and seem to love racing around the fields in the fall breeze. Although we humans can be wary of the upcoming cold season, alpacas have been blessed with that warm and wonderful fiber which allows them to love the cold and to sit merrily and watch it snow!
We look forward to watching them grow, preparing them for the spring shows and preparing some of them for sale next year. We have been fortunate to have birthed very stunning cria with exceptional bloodlines, so look for their progress on the web site as they grow up.
As a new apprentice grader and sorter of alpaca fiber, I will be immersing myself in the practice and study of sorting fiber this winter. If you have fiber that you wish to have sorted in the Certified Sorted method, please contact me. I must fulfill requirements and sort many fleeces which will be checked carefully by my mentor, and you will be helping me to accomplish my certification.
