Berks County's agricultural community does an awesome job organizng this event and we were privileged to be part of it this year. Our farm was host to approximately 250 people on Saturday, October, 3rd and it was lots of fun. Participants started at the Conrad Weiser High School's Ag Center where they purchased a map of the 10 farm participants. These included an historic dairy farm with original barn, an organic dairy farm, a larger commercial dairy operation, a Christmas tree farm, two gardening properties, a winery, two equine centers and our alpaca farm.
At our farm, visitors were able to meet all of our alpacas, including our newest, ten-day old cria. We gave them a history of alpacas and their fiber and had alpaca products for sale and refreshments for all. We also had a table set up where anyone could learn needle felting and make a bookmark or zipper pull with alpaca fiber - lots of fun and easy, too!

We plan to participate in this event again in the future if we can. We had lots of fun and hope all who visited us did as well.
